POSITION SUMMARY:

Senior SMS/SCCM Engineer. Administrator's primary responsibilities will include leading the Desktop Platform Team, hands on development, standardization, and management of all desktop infrastructures; including hardware, software deployment, images, and patching standards. This role requires a highly proactive approach and will be expected to lead and drive continual improvements to overall desktop infrastructure optimization while maintaining a highly stable platform. Package, test and incorporate automated desktop application installations within a SMS and SCCM framework.

Develop and execute on enterprise workstation imaging / deployment methodology.

Administer a SCCM environment across multiple sites within the US to include application packaging, Microsoft patches, application patches and operating system deployments.

Develop and execute on plan for increasing overall desktop platform optimization and standardization.

Ensure correct installation, configuration, use and maintenance of the Microsoft SCCM Platform.

Oversee group policy including review of existing policies and proposed changes.

Create and manage application deployment objects for new and existing software.

Establish and maintain self-provisioning pool of applications.

Manage deployment of all patches, critical updates and service packs on a timely basis.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, designs, develops, troubleshoots, and analyzes software programs for computer based systems. Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. Designs and develops compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. As required, provides inputs for documentation of new or existing programs. Primarily interfaces with intra-organizational staff with infrequent contact with inter-organizational staff and outside customers and vendors on routine matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, and scientific applications, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Analyzes software requirements to help determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

Formulates and designs software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

Performs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.

Provides support for the acquisition, installation, maintenance and operations of computer systems hardware, software and networks within assigned customer work stations and facilities.

May provide technical material to selected proposals and reports to substantiate and secure program funding.

Identifies creative solutions to improve system and product offerings.

Works with engineering and management team to collectively meet market requirements.

Helps document engineering work as input for company collateral and patent requirements.

Provides input as required to technical writers to create customer-relevant documentation.

Coordinates with project work teams to ensure adherence to policies, achievement of quality targets and delivery on schedule milestones.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs system and subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, and subsystem and system integration and tests for C2SD systems. Command and Control Solutions Directorate (C2SD) provides Battlespace Solutions through software life cycle engineering, concentrating on applications, architectures, designs, products, management support, acquisition support, and post deployment and post production software support. The goals for the C2SD are to improve support to the Acquisition Community and Warfighter, to create healthier balance between "emerging" systems and current force systems, and to establish software leadership presence in future based Army initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, and scientific applications, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Shall provide general software engineering support and technical consultation to include software products and services, studies and computer application evaluations; Field and problem report investigations; cause of action analyses; development of technical solutions; and poject technical assessments.
