More About the Role

The Senior Technical Lead will work as a part of a high performing team handling large quantities of data. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Performs file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads.

  • Develops, evaluates, and modifies methodologies and procedures for manipulating data and/or files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications.

  • Responsible for ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found, provides Senior Data Specialist with detailed notice of deficiencies.

  • Performs advanced tasks related to exporting data from contractor, databases including interpretation of requirements, identifying data for export, confirming redactions, other markups, and endorsements, ensuring that exports comply with applicable ESI specifications, and quality check of exported data.

  • Performs advanced tasks related to migrating data between databases for government clients including interpretation of requirements, identifying scope of data to be migrated, confirmation of correct mapping of source and destination fields, and quality check of migrated data.

  • Review of specification documents & working with development teams and database administrators on potential development effort for ad-hoc requirements.

  • The candidate should to be able to plan and coordinate complex discussions across teams when necessary.

  • Develop and verify integrity of technical solutions to complex loading issues using programming languages (PERL, Python, Windows PowerShell, etc.)

  • Conduct ad-hoc training sessions to educate team members and new employees and IT teams on processes, tools, and functionalities. The candidate must be able to provide technical expertise, direction and supervision to lower level personnel.

  • The candidate must be able to test software, including preparation and use of sample data for testing purposes.

  • Makes presentations of findings, recommendations, and specifications in formal reports and in oral presentations. Develops systems documentation required in the task orders.

  • Consults with Government staff and with other Contractor staff to assure understanding of task objectives, identifies problems and suggests improvements.

  • The candidate may sometimes function as a technical supervisor or team leader for a project.

  • The candidate provides user and technical documentation and training for systems developed.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge of litigation discovery process, and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) workflow.

  • Undergrad degree required. Preferably in the following relevant fields: Computer Science, Engineering, Technical, Education, Information Technology, Business, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Technology, Design.

  • Knowledge of Government’s IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server-based applications preferred.

  • Working knowledge of personal computers, including Windows, document review software, and encryption methods.

  • Ability to analyze system requirements and translate those requirements into a coherent system design.

  • Substantial experience in actually setting up interconnected Oracle databases in a UNIX environment.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and provide guidance on ESI best practices.

  • Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity or other document processing platform. Familiarity with ICONECT, Relativity, MS Office Suite, and West LiveNote valued.

  • Advanced (5+ years) experience with computer programming languages to include but not limited to PERL, Python, Windows PowerShell, etc.

  • At least five years’ experience performing eDiscovery roles including but not limited to electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and data analysis.

  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance or higher.

  • 5+ years of supervisory or team leader experience required. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in automated litigation support very helpful.

  • Modeled, developed, built, and analyzed and tuned performance of multiple SQL Server database schemas.

  • Ability to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of scripting language such as Windows PowerShell is a plus

  • Familiarity and knowledge of SQL. Ability to run and/or create SQL queries.

  • Ability to perform quality control analysis and report any issues with the data.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Coursework in technical disciplines (programming/scripting, systems administration, and database management)

  • eDiscovery experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, similar to the duties and responsibilities described.

  • Relativity Certified Administrator certification or Relativity Specialist certification.

  • Excellent attention to detail, and ability to perform tasks accurately and quickly.

  • Customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on site with government clients.

  • Strong communication and comprehension skills and ability to interpret and comprehend instructions accurately.

  • Experience with MS office products with advanced knowledge of data manipulation using MS Excel.

  • Possess analytical, organizational skills, problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$77,200 - $162,200
