Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision and leadership:
· Demonstrating proficiency in applying defined design and development process for creating and maintaining data extract, transform, and load (ETL) scripts for data warehouses / marts.
· Learning and effectively applying documented software development standards in completing complex system analysis, design, and development assignments.
· Performing troubleshooting and debugging of new and existing ETL solutions.
· Maintaining an awareness of existing, new, and emerging technologies for ETL, data warehouses, and data marts.
· Performing data analysis and data profiling as needed to define necessary source data acquisition, transformation, and loading processes to meet project deadlines.
· Working with business and data analysts to complete the analysis, design, and implementation tasks necessary to establish new subject areas for data warehouses / marts.
· Developing and delivering written documentation including designs, test plans, test results, and implementation plans for software deliverables.
Collaborating with the ETL team lead and team members in planning and delivering on ETL tasks and deliverables according to project commitments and plans.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and seven to nine years of related experience.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalentEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEpreferred.
Minimum 3-5 years experience with business intelligence tools, data analysis, validation techniques, and reporting, required, including:
· Technical experience in data warehouse projects preferred.
· 3-5 years of experience in ETL development and implementation (Informatica strongly preferred).
· 4+ years of experience with relational databases, required.
· Experience with star-schema data structures, a variety of ETL and OLAP tools preferred.
· Experience and proficiency in using AllFusion, ERWin, Data Modeler, Oracle and PL/SQL preferred.
· Very strong verbal and written communication skills, required.
· Experience with Informatica 7.1.3+, required.
· Must be a US Citizen.
· Must be able to obtain an ADP Level II security clearance.
· Certification in project management, IT Technology, or other professional level, desired.
· UNIX experience, desired.
· CMMI L3 training desired.
The clearance level required is dependent on the type of clearance supported by our client.
Desired Qualifications:
· Experience with Informatica 9.1
· TOAD, Experience and proficiency in using AllFusion, ERWin, Data Modeler, Oracle and PL/SQL preferred.
