Duties and Responsibilities:
Experienced professionals are needed to serve as Watch Communications Officers. Communications Officers will work a 12-hour rotating shift with the following duties and responsibilities -
• Act upon information received through various mediums and use standard procedures to provide the appropriate notifications based upon information received.
• Provide first-line trouble shooting of equipment and communications problems.
• Act as customer Watch POC for high-level communications tests and exercises.
• Maintain global situational awareness by monitoring intelligence-related events.
• Ensure that the proper functionality of all communications equipment and communications lines is maintained at all times.
ALL watch officers MUST work a rotating shift schedule which includes days and nights, 7 days a week including holidays.
Required Qualifications:
· At least 3-5 years of intelligence, security, or law-enforcement experience.
· Considerable knowledge and experience related to the installation, de-installation, configuration, operating, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining of:
o Secure Satellite systems terminals
o High-speed data links
o Multiplexers
o Customer equipment
o Matrix switches
o UHF equipment
o HF/ALE equipment
o Commercial Satellite terminals
· Ability to adhere to security and safety standards and applicable customer communications policies and procedures.
The clearance level required is dependent on the type of clearance supported by our client.
Desired Qualifications:
· College degree is preferred.
· Prior Watch / Operations experience
· Strong oral communications skills
· Proven track record working in a fast pace environment while multitasking
· Considerable knowledge of operations, maintenance, and management of communications security systems including customer equipment and AIS accounts is a plus.
· Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess technical equipment for security vulnerabilities
· Ability to research and write clear, concise, and effective correspondence
Possess well-developed interpersonal skills needed to interface with technical support personnel and to facilitate the resolution of complex problems while representing the organization in a professional manner.
