Provides Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) support to the NAVSEA RCM Program Manager, SEA04RM. Assist in the application of RCM to legacy and new construction programs. Provide direct support to NAVSEA RCM Certification Program via facilitation, RCM training and certification services. In this area responsibilities include: ensuring maintenance requirement technical products conform with NAVSEA RCM principles; enforcement of RCM-based ship maintenance requirements; execution of RCM certification requirements; provide RCM certification training in NAVSEA RCM methodology and support processes. Also, supports NAVSEA Engineering Agent to provide technical expertise and verification to ensure RCM principles and methodology are clearly taught to those requiring RCM certification; and to ensure that certification status of certified personnel is accurate and up-to-date and that notice of recertification requirements is provided in a timely manner. May provide similar expertise and services to other DOD or DHS activities.
This position requires knowledge of Navy and/or US Coast Guard ship maintenance programs, processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will be poised and articulate, excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, have the ability to interact well with people in a team environment as well as ability to work independently. The new employee must be capable of: working on multiple tasks simultaneously; achieving NAVSEA RCM Level I and II certifications; attaining subject matter expertise in RCM methodologies, policies, processes; and, attaining skill and expertise in adult RCM certification team training, facilitation and mentoring skills. 20-35% travel possible.

Secret Clearance obtainable. Significant experience with shipboard equipment and systems, ability to facilitate groups of engineers (i.e. excellent oral and written communications skills).

Requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.
