Overview:
Provides senior level technical support for customer satellite systems. Performs complex systems installations and maintenance. Tests, repairs and troubleshoots satellite terminal problems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all engineering, planning, commissioning, materials and all other technical services essential to support the satellite terminal activities at the client site.
Participates in day-to-day activities related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of the client's satellite network.
Serves as the first escalation contact for customer support issues
This individual will be responsible for installing and maintaining satellite terminals at locations worldwide. This position requires significant travel - approximately 60%. Maintenance trips will include both scheduled preventive maintenance and ad hoc trips responding to outages. Installations will be of medium-sized terminals and will include both the indoor and outdoor work, to include the installation of requisite infrastructure and components. When not on travel, this individual will provide troubleshooting support to remote locations and maintenance of local equipment.
Required Qualifications:
This position requires a TS/SCI clearance with a government polygraph.
The individual will have a strong background in satellite communications, to include the installation and maintenance of terminals, troubleshooting, site surveys, infrastructure installation and repair.
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with low-PIM terminals.
