Duties and Responsibilities:
The candidate must be able to work independently in an industrial environment, wearing personal protective equipment, such as a hard hat, steel-toed shoes, hearing, and eye protection. The work will be performed outdoors, shipboard, and in an office environment. The candidate will serve as a coach to naval ship maintenance professional supervisors and managers involved in naval ship maintenance and overhaul projects. The candidate will assist these supervisors in understanding and applying the recommended project management processes and tools toward efficient work accomplishment. The candidate must be able to retrieve and interpret relevant performance data and metrics. The candidate must possess outstanding inter-personal skills, such as listening, oral and written communications, and coaching.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline and six to twelve years of related experience. experience in implementing management operating systems or process improvement initiatives. The candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
Masters Degree. Although not required, it is preferred that the candidate possess an industry-recognized certification in Coaching, such as the ILM Coaching certification. The ideal candidate would possess direct experience in process improvement and naval ship maintenance. The ideal candidate would possess recent active duty military leadership experience as a junior officer, O-3 to O-5.
