Description

This is a new opportunity at the Dagger Complex in Darmstadt Germany supporting 66th MI Group. To be considereed applicants musth have a Top Secret/SCI clearance that is current in JPAS with Periodic Reinvestigation after 2008. Estimated Start date is 25 Sep 2012. This is a short term contract (12-18 months)to bridge a gap for a long-term contract to start in Sep 2013.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Through the online GEOINT TPED Enterprise System (GETS) - formerly known as AGI/MASINT Requirement and Dissemination System (AMRDS) - provide analysis and technical support to the 66th MI Brigade Integrated GEOINT Division (IGD) pertaining to the application of advanced tactics, techniques and procedures related to U.S. national and theater systems data. Provide expertise in the tasking, processing, exploitation, and analysis of electro-optic, infrared, and radar systems to obtain information on changes of terrain, equipment locations, troop movements, or other information that contributes to intelligence. Provide subject matter expertise to issues regarding the capabilities and employment of national and theater based systems, processing software, and specialized techniques to produce products in support of U.S. and NATO operations. Aid in the development of collection strategies in support of theater issues and prepare reports and findings.

Prepare and forward reconnaissance and surveillance requests in support of Commander Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIR) or Request for Information (RFI). Establish and maintain files on imagery and imagery-derived interpretation data, findings, records and reports. Receives, processes, evaluates and disseminates imagery results. Conduct operational coordination with U.S. collection agencies and customers be fully versed in the U.S. Collection Management processes and provide analytical advice and assistance to the AGI Collection Manager for the employment of national AGI sensor systems and the use of resulting data. Develop collection options to support real-world, contingency, and exercise requirements.

Coordinate activities pertaining to the organization, training and operation of an AGI section. Provide training to government personnel in the use of AGI products derived from national and theater systems. Develop scenarios for the integration of AGI techniques into military exercises to simulate AGI applications.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of:

o

10 years experience as a military imagery or AGI analyst; or,

o

8 years experience as an imagery intelligence or AGI analyst, with a Bachelor's Degree related to Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems, Engineering, or other equivalent technical degree.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Geospatial Intelligence Analysts exploit imagery, imagery products (including Advanced Geospatial Intelligence) and geographic products and data to create intelligence solutions for the Warfighter and senior government officials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Queries, assesses, integrates, manipulates, exploits, extracts, and analyzes digital data and imagery (full spectrum literal and non-literal), both geospatial and research databases, and various ancillary sources.

May provide instruction, advice, and guidance toward integration of imagery with GIS data.

Completes data analysis and evaluation, geospatial data reformat and conversion, and photo interpretation.

Performs application engineering development; processes digital imagery; customizes product generation; researches and gathers information; performs customer information analysis.

Translates GEOINT requirements into appropriate requests for imagery or queries using all available imaging sensors or GEOINT data bases.

Interacts with professional colleagues to communicate research mission, issues, and geospatial requirements.

May serve as the central geospatial consultant on research related GIS issues.

Downloads web-based data and prepare/process for exploitation.

Performs intelligence analysis on multiple sources of data, including Electro-Optical (EO), Spectral, Thermal Infrared (TIR), Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), and map-based software.

Performs data fusion by combining various types of data (EO, TIR, SAR, etc.) to create a product with an increased level of understanding of the targeted area than can be achieved with a single data source.

Applies special techniques to extract additional intelligence from Geospatial products (AGI).
