Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under close supervision, evaluates, recommends, installs and supports local area network (LAN) hardware and software. Installs hardware and software application programs on the LAN. Provides guidance to users in less complex LAN Administration processes. Provides software and hardware familiarization with users. Coordinates third-party maintenance for network equipment, and troubleshoots problems with department users and department LAN administrators.
Required Qualifications:
- Basic network and desktop/laptop experience.
- Security + certification.
- Microsoft certification for Windows 7, Server 2003/2008.
- Current TS/SCI security clearance.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and zero to two years of related experience.
Physical Demands:
- Normal demands associated with an office environment.
- Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face.
- Some travel may be required.
