Description
Duties and Responsibilities:Processes FIS data in hardware and software applications, which includes acquiring, filtering, demodulation, data formatting, and distribution of FIS signals, in support of the National Air & Space Intelligence Center. Provides general technical support for the exploitation of FIS data and the design, development, procurement, and operation of techniques, both hardware and software, related to signal processing. Performs tests and determines the performance and applicability of selected data processing equipment and techniques. Develops, implements and maintains signal databases and performs statistical analysis functions related to the exploitation of FIS data. Performs data quality control to insure technical accuracy of data and analytical results. Interacts with government and senior FIS analysts to determine information needs.
Required Qualifications:TS/SCI security clearance with 5-7 years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in performing technical signals analysis. Documented experience with FIS analysis software including X-Midas; experience with Windows and Linux OS. Typically requires Bachelors Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a mathematics-intensive discipline.
Desired Qualifications:Experience in Radar algorithm and software development, Tech SIGINT databases (EWIRDB, KILTING, EPL, CED, OEEM, EIM, AFMSS/CSDB). Experience processing related Tech SIGINT data including ELINT and Proforma strongly preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.
