Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the performance of relatively small non-technical, technical, or intelligence projects or a definable portion of a larger technical program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities. Manages the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives. Also responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned projects and for supporting new business development by leading relatively small proposals or assisting with major proposals. Trains and directs employee work activities.

This position is specific to a software implementation of a customer-off-the-shelf (COTS) product to meet Logistic and Supply Chain policies and procedures for the customer. The implementation revolves around proposing a software solution or suite of solutions to meet defined requirements. The PM is responsible for all facets of the project, including execution, staff management, contract management, financial management, client management, and the development of follow-on business.

Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, etc.

Analyzes and evaluates design concepts to determine if concepts satisfy support requirements; studies the relative supportability of alternative concepts. Defines, launches, and drives mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives in core non-technical programs.

Anticipates logistics problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors and provides recommendations for efficiency.

Determines contingency requirements and solutions to meet policy and customer requirements.

Designs and conducts research or technical studies to support logistic functions.

Designs, implements, manages, and monitors logistic reporting systems to meet company requirements.

Provides creative leadership from knowledge of industry best practices and most current developments in logistics.

Determines logistic support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel.

Participates in planning and policy development issues.

Provides regular reporting to senior management on logistics system implementation issues.

May oversee creation of procedures and communication material that document logistic practices.

Participates in establishing short and long term logistics objectives consistent with organizational strategy.

Responsible for the employment, training, motivation, discipline and performance evaluation of assigned employees.

Responsible for complex program management tasks and development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting.

Provides thought leadership to project analyses and process improvement activities.

Matrix manages directors/managers from multiple departments to accomplish interdepartmental initiatives.

Responsible for driving recommendations through to implementation.

Communicates effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Experience:

At a minimum, familiarity with two or more of the following areas:

- Systems Implementation (Oracle Financials, Peoplesoft, SAP, Maximo, Sunflower, Service-Now, Momentum Financials)
- Functional experience with IBM Maximo Suite, Sunflower, and any other Supply Chain and Logistics System COTS solutions
- Systems Training, Configuration or Testing
- Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Work Experience in a Team Environment, must motivate and provide leadership for staff to execute to a project plan
- Excellent Client Management Skills
- Requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or a related field) or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience

Desired Experience:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for planning, organizing and managing a project, or series of smaller projects or a definable piece of a larger program for successful completion and performance consistent with contractual agreements. Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities. Manages the direction of non-technical, technical or intelligence project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives. Also responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned projects and for supporting new business development by leading or assisting with proposals. Projects managed are typically of moderate complexity

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide full time systems integration (SI) and requirements support to the Enterprise Webtops program.
- Provide SI support for program board meetings, control gates and Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) as necessary.
- Work with an architect, developers, and applications tester to develop, manage and prioritize a complete set of system requirements.
- Work with other members of the development team to assign requirements to releases, to ensure design and test coordination, and provide requirements inputs to help draft and deliver promotion requests, build reports, release notices, etc.
- Establish, maintain, document and publicize standard requirements management procedures and policies for project.
- Establish and maintain the team intellipedia site.
- Lead agile development sprint kick off, mid cycle and closure reviews, and provide interim status as appropriate.
- Work with the project Configuration Management team to put both project documentation, workflow models and use cases, and technical deliverables such as source code, executables and other items as appropriate under project CM control.
- Work with the Configuration ManagementTeam to support builds for test and production.
