Duties and Responsibilities:
Network Engineer L3
The NE L3 tests and analyzes all elements of the network facilities including power, software, security features, communications devices, lines, modems and terminals and for the overall integration of the enterprise network. The NE L3 is also responsible for the planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management and coordination of the network. The NE L3 monitors and controls the performance and status of the network resources by using software and hardware tools, identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting network performance. The NE L3 keeps his or her technical skills updated and studies vendor products to determine those which best meet client needs. The NE L3 provides guidance and direction for junior network support technicians.
Required Qualifications:
Typically requires bachelor's degree in or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.
Seven years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer system/network engineering (Includes two years of specialized experience related to the assigned task).
The clearance level required is TS/SCI.
Desired Qualifications:
Backgroud in computer science, information systems, and/or engineering.
