Duties and Responsibilities:
Counterintelligence Consultant (CI Behavioral Scientist) to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). As a recognized expert, applies the full range of behavioral science skills to support a variety of planning efforts pertaining to DoD engagement of foreign intelligence threats. Provides expertise, advice and assistance to the Director, CI Threat Mitigation Center, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and coordinates specialized resources to meet organizational CI requirements. Provides consultation to intelligence/counterintelligence/counterterrorism personnel using a psychological/behavioral science perspective with an awareness of cultural contexts and impacts. Conducts operational behavioral assessments of sources and utilizes case consultation skills to support a variety of Special Access Programs (SAP), compartmented operational units, insider threat mitigation efforts and personnel security and clearance adjudication matters. Utilizes cultural knowledge of target countries and personality profiles to facilitate development of direct and indirect asset, target and source assessments for headquarters and field use. Provides informed opinions to key leadership regarding organizational effectiveness, operational initiatives and performance enhancement efforts. Establishes and maintains relationships throughout the DoD CI Community and collaborates in developing and strengthening substantive ties with other relevant government organizations; promotes proactive engagement with CI community counterparts across all disciplines and functional areas. Supports CI inquiries, investigations and operations, prepares formal reports of findings and recommendations, and conducts counterintelligence damage assessments.
Provides behavioral science advice, support, and expertise in support of: CI operations, issues, inquiries, and analytical assessments; insider threat mitigation efforts; and, personnel security and clearance adjudication matters pursuant to ICD 704 requirements.

Required Qualifications:
Must be a licensed applied psychologist with a PhD in Psychology and at least 16 years of relevant experience. Experience with analytical problem solving and supporting investigations and operations relating to Counterintelligence and Counterterrorism. In-depth knowledge of intelligence regulations and intelligence oversight principles. Must possess superior writing and briefing skills.
TS/SCI and Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility; may be required to undergo a Counterintelligence Scope polygraph.
