CACI is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support the CyrptoMod Branch located in APG, MD at the C5ISR Center.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Support the Army Cryptographic Modernization Branch and the Army DCS, G-6 in the evaluation and integration of communications security (COMSEC) requirements and modernization initiatives across the Army Key Management Enterprise. The candidate will demonstrate subject matter expertise in all matters related to COMSEC, Cryptographic Modernization, Key Management, Tactical Radios and associated Army policy.

More About the Role:

  • Develop new cryptographic standards and policy to meet and comply with DoD and NSA standards (ACC, CM2, KMI-Aware, etc.).

  • Provided support to Army DCS, G-6 across functional area analysis, functional method analysis, and functional solution analysis for the Cryptographic Modernization 2 (CM2) Capabilities Based Assessments (CBA).

  • Ensure COMSEC and Key Management requirements and emerging technologies are integrated as part of Army Unified Network Operations (UNO) and Army Integrated Tactical Network (ITN).

  • Evaluate the use of modern COMSEC and Key Management technologies and capabilities in Army Tactical environments.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on Army next generation software-defined tactical radio communications systems, to include: Line of Sight (LOS)/Beyond the Line of Sight (BLOS), Waveforms, enterprise Over The Air Management (eOTAM), and general COMSEC operation/management.

  • Develop White Papers, technology roadmaps and use cases for Army COMSEC and Key Management implementations.

  • Provide technical support to the overarching Army Key Management Enterprise, evaluate enabling technologies for integration and implementation.

  • Support modernization of cryptographic equipment and algorithms towards compliance with DoD directives and NSA mandates, such as the ACC and CM2.

  • Integrate emerging COMSEC Key Management net-centric capabilities into the Army Key Management Enterprise.

  • Maintain and modernize the COMSEC Key Management Test Environment and validate KMI-Aware and OTNK capabilities on both high assurance and medium assurance End Cryptographic Units (ECUs).

  • Analyze and provide recommendations on enterprise level system architectures and impact of systems integration security.

  • Demonstrate expertise with a broad set of security technologies and processes, to include: data protection, cryptography (encryption and decryption), key management, identity and access (logical and physical) management, and tactical network security.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Develop new cryptographic standards and policy to meet and comply with DoD and NSA standards (ACC, CM2, KMI-Aware, etc.).

  • Develop technology roadmaps and use cases for Army COMSEC and Key Management implementations.

  • Provide technical support to the overarching Army Key Management Enterprise, evaluate enabling technologies for integration and implementation.

  • Modernize towards compliance with DoD directives and NSA mandates, such as the ACC and CM2.

  • Integrate emerging COMSEC Key Management net-centric capabilities into the Army Key Management Enterprise

  • Maintain and modernize the COMSEC Key Management Test Environment and validate KMI-Aware and OTNK capabilities on both high assurance and medium assurance End Cryptographic Units (ECUs).

  • TS, SCI eligible

  • Willing to work on site 3 days a week

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • CISSP or CASP certification

  • Experience coordinating and working with the National Security Agency

  • Prior performance on an Army contract
