What you’ll get to do:
Support the Program Manager by ensuring all project activities are performed and completed in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner without comprising the quality of deliverables
With limited guidance, develops a sound implementation plan meeting the project strategy, within the budget and timing constraints
Proactively manage the project delivery and approvals with little supervision, resolving action items, issues, and risks
Supervise assigned personnel
Develop and manage schedules using Microsoft Project
Ensure all deliverables completed on-time
Act as a liaison between government and subcontractors to ensure transparency
Manage costs, schedules, reporting, and contract compliance
Conduct Program Management Reviews (internal/external)
Participate in Financial reviews (internal/external)
Create project related artifacts and reports
Develop and present business cases, develop project plans and identify resource needs, procure necessary resources, define roles on project teams, lead team meetings, and assure healthy team dynamics
Plan, organize, control, direct, and staff the technical, administrative, financial, contractual, and personnel actions required by the program
Maintain adequate staffing levels
Reviews and approves all purchases
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned
More about the role:
The primary mission of the program office is to provide rapid reprogramming support of assigned ground and airborne Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) as part of the ARAT program for providing Post Production Software Support/Post Deployment Software Support (PPSS/PDSS) pursuant to Army regulations.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
Capable of planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the contract
Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree (Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or other Engineering discipline)
5 years working on computer systems engineering and/or software development
Thorough understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of the software in military systems
Knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of software and computer resources for Army systems
Capable of managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort
Capable of providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures
Capable of providing recommendations for resolution of technical problems
Experience in a leadership role to subordinate employees to include motivation and provide constructive criticism
Strong Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
Proficient in Microsoft Project
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Ability to problem solve and provide practical solutions to issues
Should be well versed in project management practices and procedures
Effective conflict resolution skills.
The ability to follow security rules
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
10 years managing projects in government contracts environment
Army Acquisition Corps Level 2 certification in logistics, program management or information technology or a recognized industry equivalent professional certification
Familiarity with Army SIGINT systems
Be a quick learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be resourceful, and can work independently in support of on-going projects
