CACI International Electronic Technician in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

Job Description

CACI is seeking an Electronics Technician to support the US Army Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate’s (I2WD) R&D efforts by evaluating and testing performance and compatibility of Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) systems. Ideal candidate will play key role in advancing the Army’s legacy and future ECM capabilities at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Perform anechoic chamber and coaxial closed loop testing for Army Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) systems.

  • Support general anechoic chamber and coaxial testing for military ECM, communications, and other Radio Frequency (RF) systems.

  • Operate RF test equipment, setup test environment, and collect RF data in support of ECM performance and compatibility testing.

  • Support writing of test plans, test reports/results, and briefings on ECM performance and compatibility testing.

  • Conduct measurements to identify RF signals’ frequencies and respective powers. Identify any deviation or possible interference.

  • Provide onsite field testing/field exercise support.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI.

  • 5 years experience as Electronics Technician.

  • Working knowledge of RF theory/technology

  • Experience using hand-held and/or benchtop RF equipment such as Vector Signal Generators, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Analyzers, and Network Analyzers.

  • Perform standard RF measurements using the previous listed test equipment.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience testing military ECM systems.

  • Experience operating and testing military communication systems.

  • Experience testing cellular devices with live or simulated networks.

  • EW Testing in an RF anechoic chamber, coaxial closed loop, and/or outdoor range.

  • Working knowledge of EW tactics, techniques, and procedures.

  • Experience with software programs National Instruments LabVIEW, Tektronix Signal Vu, and/or Keysight (formerly Agilent) Vector Signal Analyzer (VSA).

  • Experience with Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility (EMI/EMC) testing utilizing MIL-STD-46E/F for Conductive Susceptibility (CS) 102 and Radiated Emissions (RE) 104 for compliance and/or pre-compliance measurements.


  • Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer or work bench for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.

  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and requirements.

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently or in a group setting.
