CACI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced FPGA Programmer to support the C5ISR Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The FPGA Programmer will have design and VHDL experience, to include analytical/debugging, HW/SW integration and testing skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, subsystem and system integration, and tests for a subsystem.

  • Participates in software requirements review, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness review.

  • Researches problems discovered by quality assurance or product support and develops solutions.

  • Responsible for the design and development of signal processing functions using standard VHDL.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with five to seven years of related work experience.

  • Must be able to research and quantify the techniques used with common software applications like Python, C, Java, MatLab or LabView.

  • Work with engineers to identify ways to integrate existing hardware and software into the system design.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with XLINX multimode or Altera FPGAs and 3D ICs.

  • Knowledge of specific components such as embedded memory, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) blocks, high speed transceivers, or high-speed I/O pins.

  • Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, REDHAWK, Agile Software Development concepts.
