CACI is seeking a cleared Hardware Configuration Engineer at our Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD location to assist our client in the support of the converged commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware solution known as the Tactical Server Infrastructure (TSI) If you are looking to reinvent your future CACI would like to speak with you.
What You Will Get To Do:
You will assist the Assistant Product Manager (APM) for Tactical Server Infrastructure (TSI) hardware in the areas of hardware engineering support, configuration management, acquisition, documentation preparation, and tracking of all hardware items required by Product Manager Tactical Mission Command (PdM TMC).
You will conduct market research on the latest trends in computer hardware, software virtualization, and advanced commercial server technologies.
You will assist in the identification and selection of commercial off the shelf (COTS) items, configuration, and potential modification of COTS products to satisfy mission needs.
You will be a primary member of the Product Support Manager IPT to contribute hardware expertise and you will interface with external organizations and represent PdM TMC in discussions with Government & Contractor stakeholders.
You will summarize complex technical information, and prepare briefing documents for presentation to PdM and PM leadership.
You must be highly organized to maintain accountability of all TSI-related hardware, assist in tracking fielded HW and SW baselines, and contribute to an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Assume the duties as the PdM expert on software license requirements, procurement, and tracking.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
An Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience OR an Associates Degree and at least 7 years of experience OR no degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience.
At least 2 years of experience supporting either a US Military Project Office, Lifecycle Management Center, Major Command, or equivalent experience in the US Military.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
CompTIA IT Fundamentals, A+, or Server+ is highly desirable.
Outstanding organization skills to maintain accountability of all TSI-related hardware, assist in the tracking fielded HW and SW baselines and contribute to an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Expertise in software license requirements, procurement, and tracking.
