C5ISR CENTER PRD is seeking an experienced engineer to perform a variety of functions supporting the sustainment of systems and components in support of both C5ISR and the CECOM ILSC.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Maintenance Engineering Duties:

  • Experience with the review/update of Technical Manuals (including Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs); Life-Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP); Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) Analysis; Operation and Maintenance Task Analysis; Failure Mode, Effects & Critical Analysis (FMECA); Training Task Analysis; Analysis; Level of Repair Analysis (LORA); Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC); Spares Analysis; Transportability Analysis; and Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T) Analysis.

  • Applicant should be familiar with various Logistics Specifications and databases used in MIL-STD-1552A, MIL-STD-1388 2A/2B and MIL-PRF-49506.

  • Experience with analysis of engineering drawings, parts and maintenance philosophy, scheduling, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). Experience with Configuration Management, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS), and part obsolescence issues is highly desirable.

Contract development / execution duties:

  • Experience with preparing Acquisition Requirements Packages (ARPs).

  • Experience should include: market research in locating sources of supply, preparing of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), preparation of Justification and Approvals (J&As), Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs), and other documentation associated with the development of ARPs on both the system and component levels.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must have an Active Security Clearance.

  • A working knowledge and fundamental understanding of lifecycle management principles and logistics surrounding the sustainment and fielding of military communications and electronic systems.

  • Candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical/electronic component functions, applications, assembly, packaging, and testing, and related terminology, as well as a basic understanding of other component types (mechanical, electro-mechanical, COTS).

  • Candidate should have experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and datasheets.

  • Position requires strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to learn custom databases/software-search solutions.

  • Position requires strong oral/written communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Preferred ABET Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in Government Procurement Activities.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of the DoD Contracting Process

  • Knowledge of and experience in the Army Maintenance Engineering field.

  • Experience with current military electronics systems.

  • Experience with Radio Frequency, Radar, Sensors, Electro Optical/Infra Red (EO/IR) technologies is highly desirable.

  • Experience using File Repository/Knowledge management applications such as SharePoint, Windchill and/or CAD systems.
