CACI International Radio Frequency Engineer in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

Job Description

CACI is seeking a cleared RF Engineer at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to provide technical support for sustainment of the CREW Duke System software baseline.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Support collection and documentation of requirements for threat load development

  • Develop threat loads

  • Prepare threat load lab test plan, perform lab testing, and document lab test report

  • Prepare threat load field test plan, perform field testing, and document field test report

  • Support documentation of lessons learned in threat load development

  • Perform technical analysis in support of defeating existing and emerging RF and RCIED threats, as defined from user requirements.

  • Support designing and developing new waveforms and computer algorithms to expand the capabilities of existing electronic warfare systems and simulated environments.

  • Support developing jamming techniques against RF threats

  • Characterize and exploit RF threat devices

  • Support developing techniques to better detect and classify RF threats, and to reduce false alarms from misidentification

  • Conduct performance validation and/or regression testing of threat techniques, to include simulations, laboratory testing, and live system testing

  • Support generating a functional design decomposition of developed threat techniques, and support initiating and defining the process for implementation into the existing electronic warfare system HW

  • Interface with users to translate requirements into design

  • Prepare, maintain, and update relevant system baseline documentation and other technical reports

  • Perform independent reviews of deliverables produced by others (e.g., specifications, source code, test benches, verification plans, technical reports, etc.).

What Qualifications You’ll Bring:

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • BS Degree and 3 years of Expereince

  • Knowledge of communication devices and components, wireless RF devices, modulation schemes, RF signal theory

  • Knowledge of wireless communication network protocols preferred.

  • Experience with RF laboratory equipment required (e.g., real-time signal analyzers, broadband signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, RF components, etc.).

  • Ability to travel to CONUS locations to participate in testing, technical reviews, and training

  • Strong Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Experience with MATLAB

  • Ability to follow security rules

These Skills Would be Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience in jamming technique development

  • Digital signal processing experience.
