CACI is seeking a cleared Systems Engineer who will develop, review, research, and prepare designs for new product development and for improvements to existing items. This Engineer will also conduct design engineering, hardware conceptualization, prototyping, and review of the overall product while accounting for supportability requirements for an Intel Program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Develop and fabricate prototypes of engineering designs; modify the original designs; identify requirements for and complete validation testing of engineering designs; and prepare Technical Data Packages (TDPs).

  • Perform reverse engineering consistent with all applicable data rights and patents on Government-owned systems, subsystems, equipment, and components and produce a design disclosure TDP meeting Government specified standards.

  • Develop prototypes of hardware based on reverse engineering data.

  • Assess proposed engineering changes, perform feasibility studies, and investigate and resolve hardware system issues in the areas of technology application and insertion and also in the areas of product performance and reliability

  • Develop rapid prototyping techniques to develop quick-reaction proof-of-concept prototypes of systems, subsystems, and components.

  • Conduct rapid prototyping techniques to develop systems, subsystems, circuit cards, and assemblies, including any software, firmware, and algorithms required for their operation.

  • Performs a variety of complex project tasks applied to specialized technology problems.

  • Tasks involve in the integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems or technology problems.

  • Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning.

  • Directs and assists system engineers in the application of system engineering principles to the solution of secure systems design problems.

  • Expert knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, network protocols, and other security and network operations and monitoring, vulnerability analysis, PKI, data encryption, key management, data warehousing, and data mining capabilities

​You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance.

  • 12+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in system engineering or computer engineering, or another closely related field preferred.

  • Experience leading systems engineering efforts.

  • Experience developing a technology roadmap.

  • Reverse engineering experience.

  • Rapid prototyping experience.

  • Recognized master in a technical discipline.

  • Very knowledgeable in one or more of these areas: SIGINT processes and systems, electronics/electrical engineering, RF theory, and/or Linux/System Administration.

  • Implements strategic goals.

  • Establishes operational plans for technical area.

  • Develops and implements innovative products, processes, standards or operational plans achieved through research and integration of best practices that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results of a project or system.

  • Significantly improves on existing processes and practices.

  • Experience with LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, network protocols, and other security and network operations and monitoring, vulnerability analysis, PKI, data encryption, key management, data warehousing, and data mining capabilities.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in a DoD Contracting Environment.

  • Government experience.
