CACI International Purchasing Supervisor in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI has a need to add an experienced Procurement Supervisor to its purchasing team in Albuquerque, NM. This position includes issuing purchase orders from outside sources with various commodities used in the production of goods. These commodities are obtained through the use of accepted procurement practice with particular attention to timely delivery, quality and relationship to standard cost while meeting Federal Acquisition Regulations and Coast Accounting Standards. The execution of these tasks shall be conducted with the highest level of personal, professional and ethical conduct.

  • Supervises employees, typically junior or mid-level in a team environment.

  • Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.

  • Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex.

  • Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.

  • May manage processes in support of projects.

  • Strategic sourcing and tactical purchasing execution that supports on-time delivery and superior quality.

  • Develop new sources for existing materials supporting project execution while complying with corporate and federal regulations.

  • Assist in developing a strategic supply base in Low-Cost Region.

  • Ability to utilize reverse auction tools to support busines Objectives.

  • Supplier development and project activities including Capital Requisitions, First Article processing, Tooling development and Asset tracking.

  • Champion the Company’s Material Process and train suppliers on P2P.

  • Expedite purchase orders to maintain material flow to support operations and customer service.

  • Plans and negotiates long-term contracts with favorable impact on inventory goals, quality, and continuity of supply and corporate cost objectives.

  • Negotiates and facilitates the return of rejected and obsolete material.

  • Reconciles accounts payable discrepancies.

  • Analyzes supplier risk for financial health, single/sole sourced and overall supply interruption risks.

  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions for new assignments.

  • Communicates with parties within and possibly outside of own job function, which may include external customers or vendors.

  • Explains policies, practices, and procedures of the job area to others within the organization. May work to justify and gain cooperation of other parties on practices, policies, and procedures.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 4-5 years of demonstrated experience in support of DoD or other federal agency in a purchasing or buyer role.

  • Secret DoD Clearance

  • Results driven and possess excellent organization, communication (written and oral), and presentation skills

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, performing queries in ERP systems (Business Objects), along with data gathering, manipulation, and analysis expertise.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • 10 years of experience in purchasing / sourcing

  • Active TS/SCI

  • Managed a purchasing department in an organization with high volume purchases.
