CACI has need to add an experienced Welder / Fabricator to its technical team in Albuquerque, NM. This position requires travel in the continental United States for various projects. The candidate should be experienced performing the following tasks.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Perform manual tasks such as; rust treatment, painting and materials removal, metal grinding, cutting and the application of various solutions.
Able to work independently and as part of a team, comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
Maintain and adhere to operational procedures and work instructions, follow work orders and assist with preparation of reports and appropriate documentation to include following test procedures and recording results.
More About the Role:
Does not need an active Secret clearance to start but will need to be able to obtain one at a future date.
Possess proven problem solving skills and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Use of basic powered and hand tools will be required.
May be asked to lead a small project team, provide guidance and assistance to new or entry-level employees.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
GTAW / TIG welding
Shielded Metal Arc Welding
Machine Shop Equipment Operations
Fabrication Shop Machinist
Requires experience and job knowledge of welding and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
Vocational or technical education in addition to related work experience is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; Outlook, Word, Excel.
Physical abilities include the use of arms, hands and fingers to operate tools and various equipment. Standing, walking, moving, climbing, bending, crawling, reaching and handling, pushing and pulling.
Able to focus on items less than 20 inches away (corrected or uncorrected), see in three dimensions and distinguish all colors.
