CACI International Inc. has an immediate opening for a Policy Analyst located in Alexandria, VA.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The DoD has undertaken an ambitious, multi-year IT modernization effort to achieve the Joint Information Environment (JIE). This effort will realign, restructure, and modernize how the Department’s IT networks and systems are constructed, operated, and defended. JIE will consolidate and standardize the design and architecture of the Department’s networks. Since JIE is not a Program of Record, it should be noted that the Department will utilize existing DoD Component programs, initiatives, technical refresh plans, acquisition processes, and funding to deploy and migrate the existing infrastructure to the JIE standards.

More About the Role:

The successful Candidate will be responsible for the following:

Facilitate/Drive implementation of Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) department wide

  • Coordinate, host and facilitate IPv6 Working Group bi-monthly meetings

  • Collaborate/coordinate IPv6 WG activities w/component representatives

  • Develop/maintain IPv6 WG related artifacts and charter

  • Provide research/analysis on IPv6 guidance, policies and best practices

  • Facilitate resolution of IPv6 WG related issues

Monitor and facilitate JIE governance activities/efforts

  • Act/Perform as JIE governance representative during daily PCC meetings

  • Maintain governance portion of the JIE Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

  • Participate as governance Action Officer in IMS weekly meetings

  • Participate in monthly JIE EXCOM sessions

Support development and execution of other JIE related tasks as assigned

  • Example: support resolution of JIE EXCOM JRSS Break & Inspect task (SAG)

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

A minimum of 7+ years DoD senior level staff experience (CC/S/A)

Proficiency in use of MS-Office suite (Word, Powerpoint )

Communications/IT deployment background/experience

Experience in IT policy analysis and development

Skilled in writing and document reviews

Excellent critical thinking and collaboration/coordination skills

Ability to produce and function independently with modicum of guidance and oversight

Ability to attain and maintain TS SCI clearance

Ability to facilitate team cohesion in pursuit of inter-agency IT goals and objectives


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of experience

Master degree in information systems or related field of study is Preferred
