The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced senior-level digital forensic analyst, cybercrime investigator, or law enforcement digital forensic analyst or agent, who possesses a mastery of digital forensics principles and techniques in acquiring, collecting, preserving, processing, and analyzing electronically stored information.
What You’ll Get to Do:You will use your knowledge and experience of a wide variety of advanced computer technologies and forensic theories to conduct forensic examinations and analysis with the goal of developing forensically sound evidence. You may assign forensic work to a team of digital forensic analysts as well as monitor the status of assigned tasks and provide technical guidance and assistance to team members as needed.
More About the Role:
Responsibilities include managing digital forensics examinations through the entire lifecycle (case planning, intake, acquisition, examination, presentation, and disposition); preparing clear and comprehensive notes and reports of findings; and providing oral and written communications to project managers, legal staff, and clients concerning results of examinations to include legal declarations and testimony at trial.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizenship and the ability to maintain a security clearance required.
A Bachelor's degree in Digital Forensic Science, Computer Science/ Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, or a related field
5 – 8 plus years continuous digital forensics experience to include: case planning, evidence collection, forensic acquisition, full-scope examination, results presentation, and evidence disposition.
Digital forensic certifications (one or more): CFCE, CCE, GCFA, GCFE, EnCE, ACE, CCME, or similar certification
Strong technical skills proficiency in the following areas: thorough understanding of Windows, Mac, and Linux-based computers and servers (i.e., email, database, and file shares), Android and iOS mobile devices, and Cloud data storage, network communication using TCP/IP protocols, basic system administration; intermediate knowledge of computer network architectures and related systems (router/switch, server, proxy, firewall, IDS/IPS) and system generated logs
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
A Master's degree in Digital Forensic Science, Computer Science/Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, or a related field
Experience supporting ISO accredited digital forensics operations.
