CACI is looking for talented and experienced Legal Advisors (LA) to add to our every growing team supporting the Department of Justice on high-profile critical matters supporting the AFISS contract. The Legal Advisor position is a unique role which affords the LA the opportunity to become a niche expert by conducting complex asset forfeiture legal research. This role works closely with the DOJ personnel to develop case strategies, review and analyze evidence and make recommendations to further the investigations, and assist with drafting motions, memorandums, and briefs. More About the Role:
As a Legal Advisor you will interact with senior leadership and US Attorney teams. In this role you will be provide expert legal research, analysis, and writing on sophisticated asset forfeiture issues. You will provide training on various legal matters relating to asset forfeiture. Performance includes preparation of complex legal documentation, and conducts analysis of facts, evidence, and legal authorities relating to forfeiture investigations and litigation. Performance requires a Law degree and significant experience in litigating forfeiture-related cases.
While a part of a high-performing team you will also be responsible for:
Handling legal projects or issues for the organization.
Reviewing information and data, researching laws, regulations, and precedents, and preparing recommendations.
Providing legal assistance to attorneys.
Acting as liaison between various parties such as company attorneys, outside counsel, organizations and in-house employees.
Compiling data from legal digests, encyclopedias and practice manuals.
Reviewing draft plea agreements, indictments, and other legal documents
Assembling, proofing and editing drafts of contracts, leases, licenses and insurance policies.
Preparing and filing legal documents with appropriate entities, as required.
Conducting research on various projects as directed program leadership.
May review and ensure compliance with regulations or other governing bodies or legislation.
May assist with the review and preparation of patent material and applications or various other formal legal proceedings.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must have Juris Doctorate degree.
10+ years of experience in litigating forfeiture-related cases.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Prior experience supporting the Federal Government

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$77,200 - $162,200
