Provide wide-ranging systems administration and engineering infrastructure support for multiple computing environments
Perform builds, configurations, and adjustments for infrastructure systems such as server hardware, virtualization platforms, cloud environments, operating systems, firewalls, web proxies and other network devices
Perform installations and maintenance for value added services such as Active Directory, DNS, SCOM, Splunk, Chef, certificate authorities, OCSP, and custom script solutions
Complete DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG) configurations and checklists for various parts of the technical stack, including Windows Server, RedHat Linux, Apache HTTPD.
Coordinate with external services providers as needed for network circuits, DNS registrars, DNS hosting providers, commercial cloud platforms, virtualization platforms, and cybersecurity guidance
Provide onsite support up to 2 times per week, or as needed to ensure compliance and patching of classified instances.
Mitigate vulnerabilities to ensure cyber compliance.
Diagnose, assess, prioritize, and address unexpected issues causing impact to system availability
Identify potential issues and proactively provide solutions to Infrastructure Lead
Support backup and recovery plan and procedures.
Support system migrations and technology refreshes
Research and document current system architecture, as well as propose solutions and including cloud services to enhance system capabilities.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Extensive experience (generally 7+ years)
Enterprise Linux or Unix OS. You can build the servers, configure the servers, and put them in production.
Strong Windows Server experience. You can build the server, install the roles, and know what mmc is. You've heard of Russinovich.
Commercial Cloud Experience. You can deploy it in PaaS, IaaS, and maybe even SaaS on a bad day.
Networking. CIDR isn't a drink. You know how traceroute works.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
Minimum active DoD Secret Clearance (Interim acceptable)
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
On-Premises to Cloud Migration Experience; MS Azure would be fantastic.
Scripting knowledge; BASH, Perl, Python, PowerShell. You know how to make the server administer itself.
Web technologies like HTTPD, Tomcat, IIS. You've used F12, you know a request header from a DOM object. You've reconfigured cipher suites for production webservers.
Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel formulas, Word, PowerPoint. You've impressed people in a conference room.
In-depth AD knowledge. Schemas, Sites and Services, ADSI, Kerberos, LDAP, UPNs. Super simple stuff.
Virtualization tools. VMware ESX, NSX. Hyper-V. KVM.
Experience with software/tools (e.g. Ansible, SCOM, Splunk, Docker/Kubernetes, PKI, DoD STIGs, McAfee ePO)
Experience working within the DoD
Familiarity working with Agile Teams and Methodologies
