Job Description
The CACI team seeks a highly creative and detailed-oriented public health professional with demonstrated experience in statistics and complex data analytics to join an award-winning team supporting the CDC.
More About the Role:
Apply mathematical techniques and performs computerized analyses to determine the adequacy of collected public health data needed to resolve scientific problems and modify existing techniques and practices to the applicable program.
Interpret data, explaining the mathematical or statistical techniques and limitations and the significance of their use to the specific problem.
Conduct analyses and evaluations to determine the suitability and adequacy of data collected and recommends adaptation of procedures as needed.
Evaluates data using probability statistics and trend analysis.
Strong understanding and application of general statistical approaches including bivariate analysis, logistic regression modeling •Importing, exporting, and manipulating data files (e.g., SAS), including recoding, transforming, and creating variables to accommodate analytic needs
Provide training and end-user support for tools and technologies being utilized by CDC
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent is required plus 8 years of related experience.
Must have strong command of SAS or R
Able to compile and organize statistical information retrieved and present findings to management
Experience with analyzing large-scale data sets
Experience with program documentation and code commenting
Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously
Experience with data visualizations for broad audiences
Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Highly organized with excellent interpersonal skills
Attention to details and problem-solving skills
Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Degree in: MS, MPH, MSPH
Experience with statistical data analysis using data analysis tools (e.g. SAS, R, STATA, EpiInfo, RedCap, SQL) Previous experience working with Electronic Health Records, Laboratory Data, Bioinformatics, HL7, and/or public health communications.
Previous working experience at CDC, state/local other public health jurisdictions, or other organizations with a public health mission.
Experience with Power BI
