CACI has an immediate opening for an Asset Management Lead. You will lead a team of 3 to 5 asset specialist in providing end-to-end asset management services from asset procurement, shipment, warehousing to distribution. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for ensuring configuration control of both contractor and customer IT assets. Successful candidates will manage both the process and execution of the process, ensuring team members are documenting and/or validating the movement and transfer of IT assets via routine Install, Moves, Adds and Changes (IMACs) or Special Projects.

This position is on-site.

More about the role:

We are looking for someone who shows initiative. The candidate will be self-directed, organized, and results driven. In this role, the candidate will work as a mentor and teacher, working to identify skills gaps within the team and providing guidance and leadership to fill them through training and performance improvement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the Inventory and Accountability of IT assets located in the DHS Warehouse, DHS Data Center and DHS facilities

  • Ensure the team prepares required Government forms for shipping, receiving, transferring equipment within DHS sites or from/to other entities. In addition, coordinate complete documentation of assets in the designated DHS system database in accordance with DHS Asset Management directives and guidelines in the DHS Property Management Handbook.

  • Ensures coordination and processing of all DHS equipment that is required to be excessed and/or disposed of according all established regulations.

  • Perform data destruction of the sensitive data on DHS equipment to be disposed.

  • Oversee the removal of servers, Cisco equipment, storage solutions, voice, video and other IT equipment as designated for excess by the Government. Reusable equipment shall be sent back to the DHS Warehouse for re-deployment.

  • Oversee the preparation of weekly reports on the number and type of assets received, shipping, transferred or excessed/disposed to include when transaction was executed and when the DHS Sunflower database reflected that transaction.

  • Oversee performing a full physical inventory

  • Oversee the preparation of reports of discrepancies and a list of the full inventory

  • Oversee shipments, Scan all assets into the Asset management Tool Store in appropriate designated locations

  • Move/Retrieve assets marked for disposal from multiple sites

  • Remove Storage devices from assets marked for disposal, label as appropriate and degauss as needed

  • Provide process recommendations and areas of improvement to the team and customer

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to attain DHS EOD

  • Bachelors Degree + 5 years experience or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 Years working on a Federal contract

  • Skilled in presenting asset reporting to key stakeholders

  • Familiarity with Federal IT disposal processed

  • Experience directly managing a team

  • Experience with physical inventory

  • Experience running asset reports within a CMDB

  • Experience with Asset Discovery tools

  • Experience tracking and restocking consumable items

  • Must be well-organized and detail-oriented

  • Experience coordinating warranty repair

  • Ability to oversee minor troubleshooting of IT equipment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience engaging and communicating with government stakeholders

  • Able to lift 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow

  • Experience with Microsoft Enterprise Licensing

  • Experience using Sunflower

  • CITAM certification

  • ITIL 4 Foundations

  • Software Asset Management

  • Experience with Intune or SCCM

  • Experience imaging computers
