The project focuses on the software development and integration for the Department of State to provide business solutions to a worldwide workforce. We develop and maintain a cadre of systems and applications using SaaS and PaaS solution that helps protect lives of US citizens and non-citizens in Embassies, Consulates, and Posts around the world.

More About the Role:

The Automation Engineer will be part of a team that uses .NET and Oracle, creating automation test scripts (Selenium WebDriver/JavaScript) and executing them for full or partial regression testing. The candidate will contribute part of a testing team in scaling agile development, introducing DevOps practices, providing servant leadership, and modeling behaviors to enable teams to deliver high value results against the most complex business and technology initiatives.

  • Lead a team of testing resources to support testing initiative across the program

  • Define standards and procedures to support testing activity

  • Lead the development of test plans

  • Work with the infrastructure team to define, implement, manage, and maintain automated testing tools, quality management tools, performance testing tools and other products to support the efficient execution of the test plans

  • Provide guidance to scrum teams and Agile Test Engineers on testing methods, practices and tools

  • Maintain standards for the development of testing materials (e.g., scripts, configurations, utilities, tools, plans, and results)

  • Support tracking of test results and provide testing progress data as input to status reports, dashboards and information radiators

  • Support Agile Development Testing, Performance Testing, System Integration Testing and Operational Acceptance Test

  • Serve as the primary focal for all testing activity across the Program

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • BA/BS + 5 Yrs of relevant experience

  • DOD Secret Clearance (Must be a US Citizen)

  • Experience with testing tools such as Mstest, Junit, Selenium, Jasmine, Jest and Jmeter

  • Previous experience leading testing initiatives as part of major systems integration programs for government or commercial customers

  • Previous experience with Agile development & testing

  • Experience working with Project Management tools including Jira

  • Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Background with both manual and automated testing

  • Experience working in a cloud environment
