What You’ll Get to Do:

Serves as Mid-Sr Automation Engineer for the Army Military Pay (AMP). Works under minimal supervision, performs tasks related to automation testing of the PeopleSoft-based IPPS-A enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This person will be responsible for determining optimal approach to automated testing of complex products or solutions to assure compliance with applicable specifications. This includes identifying and recommending product or solution characteristics that optimize their ability to be tested or to provide test data for diagnostic purposes. Combines customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.

More About the Role:

  • Create overall approach for test automation for Enterprise project(s)

  • Develop and maintain test automation framework using HP UFT and HP ALM

  • Develop functional and regression test automation for web applications and APIs.

  • Perform manual Functional Testing when required.

  • Strong scripting knowledge using UFT's VB Script

  • Reports test results and maintain schedules for assigned features and functionality.

  • Collect metrics to measure test progress.

  • Provides technical expertise on specific products, operating systems and specialized environments.

  • Assists Test Team with improving test automation skills.

  • Assists technical services staff in the resolution of customer escalations.

  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology or related field with 7-9 years of software testing experience for the federal government.

  • Active Secret clearance. (for the on-site position)

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (for the other positions)

  • Ability to write complex SQL queries for database validation and data defect identification.

  • Experience with the ETL process, interface/conversion, and backend testing of Oracle databases using SQL and Unix scripting.

  • Strong understanding of relational databases, and software testing techniques and methods.

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance Methodologies and the SDLC.

  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.

  • Willing to obtain SAFe Certified Agilist certification within 90 days of starting.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of the Agile development process; experience with testing in an agile development environment is strongly desired.

  • Security + certification

  • Demonstrated experience working with continuous integration environments.

  • Expertise with Azure Dev Ops or other testing and defect tracking tools.

  • Experience with Ab Initio Testing Framework

  • Experience with SOAP UI

  • SQL Knowledge of PeopleSoft versions 9.1/9.2

  • SAFe Agilist certified.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,700 - $165,300
