CACI International Computer Security System Specialist - Level 4 in Arlington, Virginia
The Threat Hunting Program is managed within the DHS Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)/Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C)/ responsible for enhancing the security, resilience, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and communications infrastructure. The Threat Hunting Program mission is to safeguard and secure cyberspace in an environment where the threat of cyber-attack is continuously growing and evolving. The Program defends the United States (U.S.) Federal Information Technology (IT) networks from cybersecurity threats by providing continuous monitoring sensors (tools), diagnosis, mitigation tools, and associated services to strengthen the security posture of Government networks. CACI supports the Program by monitoring and analyzing threat data and security events and incidents in both classified and unclassified IT operational environments.
What You’ll Get to Do:
This role is a mid-to-senior level cybersecurity analyst position that will be supporting cybersecurity threat hunting and analysis. The work will include support for cybersecurity-related projects for incident response, new cybersecurity tool testing and implementation, analysis of data using cybersecurity tools, preparation of research papers and presentation materials for Government managers, and the opportunity to explore cybersecurity.
More About the Role:
Supports incident response engagements and partners with other incident response teams
Maintains an understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits that could impact client networks and assets.
Performs analysis and monitor open source channels to maintain a current understanding of Computer Network Defense threat condition
Determines which security issues may have an impact on the enterprise.
Collects network intrusion artifacts and use discovered data to enable mitigation of potential CND hunts and incidents.
Travel: Up to 30%
You Will Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizenship required
Must have a current Top Secret clearance
Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be clearable to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EOD clearance
BA/BS in Computer Science from a four-year degree accredited college or university
9-15 years of direct related work experience in cybersecurity, communications and related IT fields
Proficient in basic Python scripting
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge of and basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Any cybersecurity certification such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, ISSMP, etc.
Demonstrated experience in leading an Information Security/IA Compliance Group
