CACI International Enterprise Licensing Project Analyst in Arlington, Virginia

Job Description


Join our team supporting our Department of State client with software acquisition, monitoring, and tracking functions that align to best practice software asset management principles. to improve the effectiveness of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security


  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for software license and perform day to day Software Asset Management (SAM) activities in support of Bureau and Program Office customers

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive inventory of software licenses using available automated discovery tools

  • Continually review license utilization and identify license optimization opportunities

  • Ensure software compliance with manufacturer licensing agreements and internal Configuration Control Board baselines

  • Engage in regular review of software inventory and submit software change requests to appropriate IT Configuration Control Boards (ITCCB)

  • Maintain local software repository and submit approved software for packing and distribution

  • Maintain centralized Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

  • Liaise with Bureau and program office desktop support teams on daily basis and provide software license management training as needed

  • Coordinate with Procurement and Resource Team to ensure customers are engaged and software license renewals are completed

  • Obtain license pricing information from vendors for additional products requested by customer

  • Provide support to customers in response to questions about software licensing agreements, i.e., annual license renewals, penalties and fees associated with not renewing products/licenses, deadline for submission of funds or funds transfer for license renewals and new purchases


  • 2-4 years of experience in software asset management

  • Highly focused, energetic customer service orientation in support of global customer base

  • High level of organizational, requires strong written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making abilities and attention to detail

  • Ability to understand technical concepts and IT environments

  • Ability to translate general highly technical concepts into customer friendly language

  • A sense of ownership about task completion

  • Ability to work with executive and expert level personnel

  • Ability to report on progress and issues upon request

  • Ability to build excellent cooperative relationships with personnel in different offices

  • Ability to identify options for process improvement

  • Ability to work with limited supervision

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize and deliver high-quality, accurate work within targeted deadlines

  • Previous experience working with software licensing requirements, Enterprise Licensing Agreements, software renewals, and major project reviews for the large SSL accounts portfolio

  • Experience with BelManage Configuration Management Database or similar tools

  • Desired Skills

  • Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM)

  • Ability to provide guidance for customer purchases via Purchase Cards or via AQM Acquisitions

  • Ability to serve as liaison to the DOS IRM SSL team

  • Understanding of Cloud computing concepts

  • Ability to maintain internal relationships with customers, and external relationships (software resellers/vendors, and software manufacturers), as appropriate.
