CACI International Environment Administrator/SQL Developer in Arlington, Virginia

Job Description

The MyNavy HR enterprise is modernizing the way it operates to provide improved service delivery to current and future Sailors and their families. The Navy is successfully recruiting, training, and managing its Sailors in today’s demanding operational environment.

Environment Administrator/SQL Developer to join the Navy Personnel and Pay (NP2) team.

Position will be responsible for configuring, staging, and replicating data on a Peoplesoft environment developed for creating training products and demonstration/training purposes.

Key tasks include:

  • Install/Configure SQL Server versions 2012-2017, including all components and features on Windows Server. Data Mining experience to provide user roles and data subsets specific to training development requirements within Peoplesoft HCM. Experience with Peoplesoft HCM back end work and Peoplesoft HCM administrative applications.

  • Create deployment specifications based on database requirements documentation

  • Provision permissions based on least privilege principle

  • Deploy code to Database Engine, Integration and Reporting Services

  • Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement

  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time

  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document change

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

  • Strategically plan necessary corrective actions in production in the shortest possible window

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 + years of experience as a SQL Server DBA with:

  • Peoplesoft HCM

  • SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Data Tools/Visual Studio

  • Performance Tuning and Optimization

  • Backups, restores and recovery models

  • T-SQL scripting and development, including creating stored procedures, views and user-defined functions

  • High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server

  • Native Maintenance Plan Design

  • Windows Server versions 2012-2016, including firewall configurations

  • Storage capacity planning

  • Software Development Life Cycle

  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
