Oracle Golden Gate Administrator

CACI is seeking an Oracle Golden Gate Administrator who will assist multiple teams with the ongoing installation, configuration, maintenance and support activities for multiple program tools and support applications. As the Oracle Golden Gate Administrator, you will actively participate in integrated product team activities and meetings providing the necessary knowledge and guidance to ensure all program support applications and tools are implemented, configured and deployed to successfully integrate with or compliment the core IPPS-A system components.

To be successful in this role, you will understand large, complex ERP systems (like PeopleSoft or Oracle EBS); will have a successful track record establishing multiple, successful implementations of software utilizing Oracle RAC and Golden Gate product installations and demonstrate a strong aptitude for learning new applications and a willingness to take on challenges.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The system integrator for Increment II of the US Army's Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS-A) is looking for an experienced GoldenGate Administrator. You will join the Infrastructure team to support the GoldenGate administration and Oracle database needs of multiple teams including development, test, data, reporting, sustainment, and operations.

More About the Role:

GoldenGate administration activities include but are not limited to planning, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and on-going maintenance of multiple GoldenGate Oracle RAC installations.

• Developing and documenting technical and conceptual specifications in support of the overall program GoldenGate and database designs;

• Supporting the design, development and ongoing operations of the IPPS-A GoldenGate and database applications and environments;

• Setup and integration of multiple GoldenGate installations with various components of the IPPS-A system, (i.e. PeopleSoft and OBIEE);

• Supporting the development, testing and CM teams for Functional/Security and Performance Testing, code packaging and code migration to various Test and Production environments;

• Working closely with other DBAs. application administrators, development teams, and test teams to define requirements and develop solutions to complex problems;

• Working closely with developers, SMEs and Testers using Agile sessions;

• Working closely with DBAs, application administrators, developers, and testers to improve performance and data quality;

• Working to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet program goals and deliverable objectives;

• Other tasks and activities as assigned or directed by the Infrastructure Manager.

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree and 7 – 9 years of related experience

• Current Security+ Accreditation

• 5+ years hands-on experience using and supporting GoldenGate 12c and higher

• Solid understanding of Oracle databases, Exadata, and Solaris

• Experience with High-Availability and Disaster Recovery architecture and configuration

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership

• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, demonstrate strong problem solving skills and is successful when working in Integrated Product Teams

• Proven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and the ability to solve problems quickly

• Experience supporting reporting and other business processes using high-volume data sources across SDLC environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod)

• Current Secret Clearance required; SSBI preferred

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Current SSBI background investigation

• Demonstrated experience Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting GoldenGate on Oracle RAC in a Unix environment

• Experience configuring GoldenGate to support ongoing replication of large Oracle databases (thousands of tables each) within a complex architecture

• Experience configuring GoldenGate downstream mining and integrated components for active-active replication

• Experience configuring GoldenGate adapters and connectors (e.g., JMS, Kafka)

• Experience configuring GoldenGate High Availability using Oracle DBFS and Active DataGuard

• Experience configuring GoldenGate Studio or integrating with Oracle Enterprise Manager

• Experience in detecting and resolving errors in GoldenGate active-active replication environments

• Experience performing GoldenGate upgrades, replication, error resolution, and restarts without data loss

• Experience with GoldenGate Big Data or GoldenGate JMS is a big plus

• Experience with DoD and/or GSA database security requirements is a major plus

• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12c

• Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and coordinate multiple, dynamic and competing priorities
