What You’ll Get to Do:
Within the Department of Homeland Security, the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) Office of Infrastructure Protection’s (IP) Protective Security Coordination Division (PSCD) requires non-personal services in providing support to its Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP), Program Support Section (PSS). PSCD’s primary mission is to proactively engage with Federal, State, local, tribal and territorial (FSLTT) government mission partners and members of the private sector stakeholder community to provide strategic guidance and to coordinate overall efforts to promote the security and resilience of the Nation’s Critical Infrastructure (CI).
The mission of the Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) is to protect life and CI by building capabilities within the general public and across the private and public sectors to prevent, protect against, respond to, and mitigate bombing incidents. OBP accomplishes its mission through a portfolio of complementary counter-improvised explosive device (IED) capability development programs, which align to the following initiative areas:
Coordination of National and Intergovernmental Bombing Prevention Efforts;
Information Sharing & Decision Support;
Counter-IED Training & Awareness; and,
Capabilities Analysis and Planning Support.
Analyst receive, review, and distribute all PSCD and IP Executive Secretariat tasks and RFIs to the appropriate personnel; liaise between OBP and the PSCD Director’s Office, IP, and NPPD; maintain and update the OBP Task Tracking Tool; prepare and maintain accountability for OBP training materials; develop reports and analyses; track performance metrics; and provide various support to the OBP Branch Chief, Deputy Branch Chief and Section Chiefs.
More About the Role:
Provide analyses related to branch, and other national, program performance, to include the development, tracking, and analysis of program performance metrics.
Prepare documentation, correspondence, briefing materials, and other related documentation in support of the normal day-to-day operations of the client.
Update the client Program Management Plans and other strategic and programmatic documents.
Receive, review, and distribute tasks and RFIs to the appropriate personnel. To include: determining/preparing the appropriate response and reviewing all items prior to submission to the Government; acting as a liaison between branch, division, office, and directorate personnel; and, maintaining and updating the branch task tracking tool.
Manages multiple high-priority tasks that have competing deadlines.
Develop templates, standard operating procedures, and workflows for use by all contract & client personnel.
Use Microsoft SharePoint as a document repository platform.
Work on integrated teams with a mixture of Government and other contract employees as a contributor to common, shared products.
Assists in researching unclassified and classified databases for use in written products and data calls.
Conduct research and analyses of customer needs and requirements.
Perform special projects as assigned.
Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience and zero to 3 years of related work experience.
Must maintain active/current SECRET clearance.
Must be able to obtain/maintain DHS Suitability/Fitness.
