Job Description

As a Requirements Planner, you will be working intimately with teams to ensure the thorough planning and efficient execution of every sprint. You will also assist the government to work with the stakeholders to understand business issues, opportunities and works with the client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to manage the transformed business model. You will be responsible for:

  • Working on stream design and analysis, business process analysis, and lean process improvement.

  • Supporting for the evaluation of requirements, scoping and prioritization of projects

  • Supporting the direction, architecture, and process of environments, development, and rollout.

  • Generating the work products, establish, and maintain standards for these work products.

  • Providing overall direction to all project activities and interactions with clients.

  • Managing client delivery expectations and provide status, feedback, and project updates to both the customer and the project teams.

  • Supporting the direction, architecture, and process of environments, development, and rollout.

  • Providing technical mentorship, support and coaching to assist the NCCIC PMO planning and execution teams to address engineering issues and increase efficiency

  • Bringing general knowledge of Requirements Management as it relates to requirements analysis and design, traceability methods and processes.

  • Conducting requirements reviews with the SMEs and relevant stakeholders.

  • Analyzing and documenting requirements to convey the information to technical teams.

  • Preparing correspondence, plans, and reports for assigned program(s) and customer(s).

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the development and documentation of end-to-end business processes.

  • Developing requirements documentation, interacting with the client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to document processes.

  • Gathering and documenting lessons learned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible for a DHS EOD clearance

  • Position typically requires BA/BS degree and eight years of relevant experience, to include at least five years in requirements development for programs of similar scope.

  • Ability to interact comfortably with Senior Government Leadership and Team members on a day-to-day basis.

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

  • Experience with Agile Scrum teams

  • Ability to be flexible and a strong team-player.

  • Independent self-starter who can provide client solutions with minimal instructions.

  • Familiarity with Agile project management and ability to operate using supporting PM technologies.

  • Ability to work independently on a complex task with little direction, supervision, and management oversight.

  • Experience as a SM, PO, proxy PO, and possibly an Agile Coach.
