What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI has an immediate opening for a Solution and Systems Engineering/ Architect Lead at the Department of State with a background in solution, enterprise architecting and systems engineering across multiple warehouse with operational data feeds. Must be able to work independently in an evolving environment and support in person customer engagements, while providing technical leadership and policy guidance. Current client requirements include expertise in synthesizing and presenting big picture views based on enterprise content, ability to deep-dive to trace execution-level detail where needed, and resolve design and implementation matters. Leading a technical team of architects, ETL developers and testers on a daily basis following Agile Principles.
More About the Role:
You must possess knowledge and experience of implementing an enterprise data warehouse and migration of multiple system/application data into the warehouse. Responsibilities include creation, update and presentation of system architecture design and implementation methods, briefings, and whitepapers and producing analysis of alternatives as requested. Position will require proactive engagement with government staff, as well as other assigned staff from a diverse multi-contractor support team and management of tasks, schedule and risk for technical team. Candidate must have experience creating and testing proof of concept pilots for new technology/systems. Candidate must have demonstrable experience providing technical assistance to development staff along with designing, developing and maintaining Development and Implementation standards for the technologies used.
Clearance Requirement: Must have an active Secret with the ability to obtain and maintain an TS/SCI.
Responsible for the technical oversight and leading of the onsite technical team
Hands on work with ETL development, architecture, tasking.
Providing evaluation of third party tools (Analysis of Alternatives) and communicating with vendors.
Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication with technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment as well as independently
Demonstrated ability to develop solution-level architectures, detailed designs, and strategies, and transition plans.
Experienced with customer-premise equipment, virtual machine, and multiple cloud environment
Experienced with applying system engineering to identify and resolve technical issues and vulnerabilities.
Experienced in developing as-is and to-be models and developing a roadmap to show the planned migration.
Experience with integrated process teams and working groups.
Experience in transitioning programs from development, through operational installation, through to Operations and Sustainment.
Experience with an creating documents architecture framework (DoDAF, FEAF, or TOGAF
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience within a related field and 10 years of Solution/Systems Architecture experience is required.
Required Qualifications/experience with the following:
Data Warehousing, including Data architecture, Database (preferably Oracle and SQL Server), Extract/Transformation/Load (ETL), and Business Intelligence
Atlassian Suite of tools – JIRA, Confluence, etc
MS office suite, SharePoint
Modeling tools, such as SPARX EA or System Architect
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Multiple Cloud computing (Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure)
Department of State and/or Diplomatic Security IT operations, systems, and sources
Data Vault Methodology
Experience with multiple software development tool suites for Microsoft, JAVA, ColdFusion, SharePoint
