CACI is currently looking for an experienced Configuration Management Specialist with agile methodology experience to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity.

The ideal candidate has a writing/editing background, is willing to expand their skill set to learn new skills, is organized, and possesses a willingness to divide their time between the Technical Writing, Quality Assurance (QA) and Configuration Management (CM) responsibilities. This position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance.
What you’ll get to do:
Monitor Automated configuration management tools against product and software baselines to ensure compliance and identify gaps.
Audit software documentation against deployed applications to ensure baseline is accurately documented and deployed.
Responsible for activities associated with reviewing documentation and project deliverables
Editing a variety of documentation, reports, brochures, manuals and training materials.
Ensuring documentation content is of high quality and conforms to standards.
Editing and improving existing documentation in line with project standards.
Ensuring effective document and file management across the project.
Experience with document structure and logic flow, as well as writing for non-technical audiences.
Excellent written and oral communications skills. Must be able to effectively interface with Subject Matter Experts and mid-level management.
Strong collaboration skills
Ability to research and organize process work steps in a concise and discernible manner.
Ability to manage multiple assignments while ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to documentation standards, and a timely delivery of all work products.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria includes, but not limited to:
3-year check for felony convictions
1-year check for illegal drug use
1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
College degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related discipline, experience acceptable in lieu of degree
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
3-5 years of demonstrated technical experience in configuration management/quality assurance

Knowledge of document and repository management practices
Strong attention to detail and collaboration skills
Ability to interface with various groups as well as work independently
Team-oriented individual with solid work ethic; self-starter
Bonus would be having:
Prior experience working with CBP applications
Software development background
Experience in a DevOps environment using automated tools
Experience performing configuration management using Infrastructure as Code
Acts independently to expose and resolve problems
