CACI International IT/System Administrator - Part-Time On Call in Augusta, Georgia

CACI is searching for a highly skilled and motivated IT/System Administrator to join our team in Augusta, GA!

The ideal candidate for this position has a strong understanding of desktop operating systems, routinely thinks outside the box to solve problems quickly and understands what impeccable customer service is all about. The IT/System Administrator will be responsible

for infrastructure and system management for contractor provided facility execution.

Duties/Responsibilities include:

  • Validates/coordinates procurement requirements with Program Manager and Program Control Officer

  • Provides quality customer support to end users.

  • Provides technical support for personal computers and peripherals.

  • Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers including software, hardware and peripheral devices such as printers, monitors, etc.

  • Connects computers and to existing data networks.

  • Provides initial IT set up and maintenance for each contractor-provided facility offering. This also includes breakdown of the IT infrastructure after the PoP.

  • Provides e-Campus and BlackBoard administration support

  • Monitors assigned queues and respond to service desk tickets and enter relevant fix information to be used for root cause analysis; appropriately hands-off tickets to Level 3 (applications or infrastructure experts) as required.

  • Maintains trouble logs, including wireless, VPN, and Hotspot connections.

  • Instructs users in the appropriate usage of computers.

  • Performs auditing and monitoring functions as may be required by local policies

  • Investigates information, network, and communications needs of users and makes recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases.

  • Makes recommendations for the continuous improvement of IT processes and systems for the betterment of the user experience / elimination of core issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Current CompTIA A+ certification

  • 4+ years’ experience as a Computer Technician or Desktop Support Specialist

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft software and operating system

  • Able to read and understand technical manuals

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects effectively

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
