We are seeking a Software Development Lead for GTOS. The development lead is charged with the maintenance and enhancement of the software baseline. This includes managing developers and directing future enhancements to the system.
What You’ll Get to Do:
As our Software Development Lead for the GTOS program you will have the opportunity to:
Work with our customer to create world-class processing solutions that are delivered quarterly to an operational baseline. The primary software components include a real-time grid processing architecture, a data acquisition and distribution component, a set of modules for signal processing, a geolocation capability, a reporting suite, and a simulation capability.
Manage and grow a team of developers that bring skills in each of these areas.
Creating design options for capabilities enhancements
Investigating new architecture options for future scalability
Creating and maintaining the build plan
Code maintenance and review
Working with Systems Engineering to create and refine requirements, test conditions, and documentation
Managing discrepancy reports
Perform software developer interviews and make hiring recommendations to the Program Manager. This effort includes subcontractor hire recommendations.
Establish performance goals and development plans for software developers on the program (excluding subcontractors)
Assess performance of the software developers on the Program (excluding subcontractors)
Determine software developer assignments across the multiple development and maintenance teams
Provide mentor-ship to software developers
Assign mentors for junior software developers
Provide quarterly performance reviews with software developers
Make compensation and bonus recommendations to the Program Manager
Assist the corporate recruiting partner through candidate identification, review, and in executing interviews for your program
Serve as the Program’s Architect in concept development
Support the Program’s Systems Engineering Manager in development of processes and procedures for interaction with software development
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
- A minimum 10 years of related work experience.
The code is comprised of modules that are written in C, C++, Python, and Java, as well as C-Shell scripts. (Expertise in most or all of these areas is required).
An active TS/SCI clearance is required (must be willing to complete the poly process
Developing JAVA programs
Developing or integrating with user interfaces
Interviewing software developers
Writing performance reviews
Establishing performance and development goals for software development teammates
Delivering operational code
Coordinating with engineering and testing organizations
These are nice to have:
Experience with container-based deployment
Expertise in X-Midas
