What you’ll get to do:

In Scaled Agile Framework, the members of the Shared Services team support all the Agile teams on the Agile Release Train (ART).

As a Data Scientist, you are a recognized master and support the implementation of strategic goals owned by the team. You develop and implement innovative products, processes, standards, models, and operational plans. These are achieved through research, analysis, and integration of data and best practices that will have a positive impact on the functional and performance results developed by the Agile Teams.

  • Implement strategic goals established by functional leadership.

  • Establish operational plans for job area with short-to mid-term impact on results (e.g., 1-2 years).

  • Provide measurable input into new products, processes, systems, and/or operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall function results.

  • Demonstrates technical innovation in supporting business objectives and mission.

  • Responsible for improving upon existing processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation.

  • Problems and issues faced are numerous, typically undefined where information is difficult to obtain.

  • Conducts extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems leveraging significant application of technical knowledge and conceptualizing to solve problems.

  • Problems span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across functions, mission, and/or businesses.

You’ll bring these attributes:

Communication and Influence

  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function.

  • Responsibilities for communicating with parties external to the organization, which may include customers or vendors.

  • Works to influence others to accept job function’s view/practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.

  • Ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.

  • Conduct briefings with senior leaders within the job function.

Leadership and Talent Management

  • Responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other technical employees.

  • Responsible for leading large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams (without direct reporting relationships).

You’ll bring these qualifications:

  • Master of Science or higher in technical field plus 10 years of experience.

  • Active Top Secret//Sensitive Compartmented Information with Counterintelligence Information (TS//SCI CI) Polygraph.

  • Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert within the NSIS organization.

  • Expertise with Big Data analysis, programming, and visualization.

  • Familiarity with R, Python, C++, Data Applications, Cloud Applications, advanced statistical analysis tools, and modeling simulation and MBSE.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have :

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification(s)

Familiarity with the:

  • Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, and Assess (F2T2EA) dynamic targeting process,

  • Observe, Orient, Decide, and Act (OODA) loop approach to decision-making,

  • Task, Collect, Process, Exploit, and Disseminate (TCPED) process for operations and intelligence planners to synchronize resources and

  • Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing & Integration, and Maintenance (PADITIM) Software Development Life Cycle.

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$104,200-$229,200
