CACI is currently looking for an experienced Configuration Control/Data Management Lead to join our team developing a DoD Mission System that will reside on the Aircraft and Ground System infrastructure. More about this role:

  • Establishes and maintains configuration and data management policies and procedures to be utilized by program and technical personnel and other participating functions to ensure a standard and cost-effective approach to the application of configuration and data management requirements.

  • Execute change control procedures for developing, reviewing, approving, and implementing proposed configuration changes.

  • Analyzes changes to product specifications to determine the effect on the end product and determines and prepares necessary for change control.

  • Authors and establishes configuration management procedures and documentation. • Maintain and control all hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management

  • Operates configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and auditing. • Provides overall configuration management infrastructure and environment to the product development team.

  • Oversee and chair the Configuration Control Board (CCB) including defining and implementing procedures with respect to formal change management

  • Ensure that the CM environment facilitates product review, change, and defect tracking activities.

  • This role includes writing the CM plan and reporting progress based on change requests, understanding configuration management principles, and having experience or training in the use of CM tools

  • This role is responsible for the execution of the process which includes operating the defined and agreed process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant processes, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, performing process audits, and managing the process improvement cycle

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen and have a Secret clearance to start

  • Experience throughout an entire hardware/software product development lifecycle and Configuration/Data Control Management practices.

  • Familiarity with standard DoD System Engineering Process and terms such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), System Requirements Documents (SRD), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Customer Acceptance, Program Management Review (PMR)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, Math, Physics) from an accredited University with minimum 7+ years of professional experience, ideally with DoD organization or Contractor

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • ​Experience in a DoD Prime Contractor capacity.

  • Experience in subsystem integration into a larger system (e.g. aircraft, ground vehicle, ship).

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering.

  • Experience with unmanned or manned C4ISR systems and or principles.
