Job Description:

What You'll Get to Do:

You will be responsible for leadership and management of a development group that includes both hardware and software engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementation for programs depending on next generation technologies, quality management systems, process development and improvement, and overall customer and employee satisfaction, all in support of the U.S. government and national security. Our customers rely on us to solve hard, technical problems and to provide the latest technology that enables them to execute their missions. You will have the opportunity to solve our customers’ problems by contributing at a technical level and by supporting and leading your team while working alongside them.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow high performance technical teams to innovate and execute both short-term and long-term project goals.

  • Manage the technical staff as they execute programs for multiple government customers, including applied research, integration, and transition phases.

  • Work with project managers to manage budgets, schedules and staffing.

  • Provide staff leadership and oversight to include hiring, performance management, career development, technical direction, and workload management for your teams.

  • Establish process improvements to increase product quality, efficiencies and overall customer and employee satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with Program Management to help Identify new business opportunities with new and existing customers, match customer needs with department capabilities, lead/contribute to proposal teams to generate responsive and competitive proposals.

  • Apply at least half of your time working on customer tasking and/or internal research and development (IR&D) efforts as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited university and 10+ years of experience in a technical field related to Signals Intelligence or other MULT-INT technologies

  • Typically requires 5+ years technical supervisory/management experience

  • Ability to understand and effectively describe technical architectures and implementations associated with complex Multi-INT and distributed intelligence solutions to Customer Leadership and Subject Matter Experts

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including active listening, coaching, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • High degree of attention to detail and organization skills

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining cooperative, force multiplying relationships with peers within the company

  • Highly proficient with resource management, project management, and communication tools such as MS Project, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Sharepoint, Slack.

Nice to have:

  • MS or PhD degree in electrical or computer engineering or computer science

  • Experience interacting with government contracting and acquisition processes

  • Relevant subject matter expertise in the areas of SIGINT, ISR, Multi-INT systems

  • Experience delivering mission capabilities through iterative development processes

  • Experience with Agile process for both software and hardware, including use of tools such as Jira and Confluence
