What You'll Get to Do

Our team is seeking a Field Support Group Lead for our Support group of 10-15 field service and product support personnel supporting multiple customers and programs from our Austin, Texas office. In this role you will be leading teams providing Level 1-3 remote and on-site support, as well as Information Assurance. Our teams are the primary points of contact for supporting a variety of field deployed, operational systems. You will work both independently and as a team member on projects dealing with a variety of computer system, network, and cybersecurity challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership over planning, scheduling, and risk management activities.

  • Lead and grow high performance technical teams to innovate and execute both short-term and long-term project goals.

  • Manage the technical staff as they execute tasking for multiple government customers.

  • Work with project managers to manage budgets, schedules and staffing.

  • Provide staff leadership and oversight to include hiring, performance management, career development, technical direction, and workload management for your teams.

  • Establish process improvements to increase product quality, efficiencies and overall customer and employee satisfaction.

  • Provide rigorous and quantitatively backed analyses to support root-cause analysis and issue resolution.

  • Support technical coordination of multidisciplinary technical teams including both software and hardware development, system integration, and release to resolve technical issues uncovered in testing or reported by operational customers.

  • Provide program managers and engineering management regular status reports to ensure alignment of project objectives, product strategy and technical solutions

  • Travel to CONUS and OCONUS customer sites to support installations, test events, and training

  • Apply at least half of your time working on customer tasking and/or internal research and development (IR&D) efforts as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of related experience

  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required

  • Current certification compliant with DoD 8570 IAT level I (COMPTIA Security +) (or the ability to get one in first 90 days)

  • Typically requires 5+ years technical supervisory/management experience

  • Ability to understand and effectively explain technical architectures and implementations associated with complex Multi-INT and distributed intelligence solutions to Customer Leadership and Subject Matter Experts

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including active listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • High degree of attention to detail and organization skills

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining cooperative, force multiplying relationships with peers within the company

  • Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs

  • Ability to perform tasks for multiple concurrent projects

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with frequent priority adjustments

  • Self-starter with good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

These Q ualifications would be nice to have:

  • Experience with system security and accreditation processes

  • Previous experience with military Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and overall Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, operations, and related qualifications is considered a plus

  • Ability to write code or scripts to automate software production processes

  • Red Hat certifications

  • CISCO certifications
