We are looking for people enthusiastic about all aspects of software. This position is for individuals excited about DevOps responsibilities such as implementing CI/CD toolchains, building automation solutions, deploying cloud native distributed systems, to name a few. The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience working on small teams. Candidates must have an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications to compliment your academic experience.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Automating deployment of RedHat Enterprise systems in AWS.
Use Ansible to configure the systems and deploy the software.
Use the ELK stack to monitor system metrics and create Kabana dashboard templates.
Load testing applications with JMeter.
Automating test container builds using Jenkins.
Container testing and system monitoring of containers.
Work amongst an agile development team.
Design/implement solutions, present results during regular review meetings.
Leverage existing skills and grow into new competencies.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Pursing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Must currently be enrolled in High School OR a full-time Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctorate Student
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Ability to automate solutions using scripting languages (bash, python)
Experience with configuration automation tooling (Ansible, Puppet)
Amazon Web Services experience/certification.
Containers / Orchestration experience.
Understanding of CI/CD concepts and practical application.
Software development education.
Experience with test first design principals, TDD/BDD.
Knowledge of RHEL system administration is useful but not required.
If Undergraduate or Graduate, pursing a degree in Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field is preferred, not required
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
