What You’ll Get to Do :
Duties and Responsibilities :
Work directly with software engineers and project leads in an agile software development life cycle to develop, maintain, and enhance diverse software systems
Understand, build, and document environments needed for testing especially in Linux or Unix operating systems
Apply system level knowledge (software, OS, and hardware) and tools to diagnose and describe issues
Analyze requirements and technical documents, and respond to the team with questions and insights
Construct and refine test scenarios, test cases, and detailed procedures and verifications, connecting these with requirements and driving more testable code
Execute tests and report results
Research, design, and build automation to streamline various testing needs

Work on various programs dedicated to supporting the war fighter.
Contribute to and improve engineering processes
Develop and maintain user and administrative documentation to meet customer contract requirements
Travel onsite to periodically install and test operational systems and updates
You’ll Bring These Qualifications :
Education :
Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related discipline
Experience :
5+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering
Required Skills :
Must be a US Citizen
Currently hold TS/SCI security clearance
Advanced scripting in bash or other Unix shells
Advanced experience in Linux debugging and diagnostic tools
Experience of and dedication to testing methods and techniques
Understanding of distributed systems and networking
Understanding of software, automation, and tools
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: .
Demonstrable experience with UI automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress or similar)
Familiarity with one or more non-UI test automation frameworks (Postman or similar)
Experience using ansible, puppet, chef or similar configuration tool
Knowledge of compiled languages
Competency in one or more OO languages (Python, Java)
Familiar with basic concepts of API testing and associated technologies (rest, json, etc.)
Experience developing automation in an Agile team (scrum, kanban)
Familiarity with source control (git) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Bamboo or similar)
Basic competency with relational databases (mysql, postres)
Understanding of Linux security and auditing
Practical experience with virtualization and hypervisors
