What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide engineering and physical insight into mechanical and marine systems for a data science team
Support root cause analysis of ship system under-performance or detected anomalies
Apply engineering principles to identify trends and events in complex ship data
Develop hypothesis and goals for independent investigations
Communicate results through reports and presentations to a non-technical audience
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
A Secret clearance is the minimum requirement to begin employment
As a requirement of continued employment you will be required to obtain a Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in Marine, Mechanical, or related engineering field
Comfortable with Python for data analysis
Experience with signal processing or time series analysis
Knowledge of numerical and optimization methods
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Currently hold an active Secret Security Clearance
Knowledge of fluids, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, or structures
Experience with parallel or GPU computing
Interest in data science, machine learning, or deep learning concepts
