CACI International Health Informatics Specialist in Bethesda, Maryland
What You’ll Get to Do:
In order to further the Research, Development, Test and Evaluation of Traumatic Brain Injury Clinical Informatics capability, the Health Informatics Specialist will be responsible for demonstrating the principles and functional aspects of CarePoint, the TBI Portal, WIIR, MHS Dashboards, MHSPHP, TBI dashboards and support the integration within the clinical workflow of different Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs). Demonstration forums may include workshops, small groups, virtual and teleconference, computer based, and one-on-one dialogs. The Health Informatics Specialist will support pilot tests, rollouts, deployments, implementations, integrations and evaluations of the different clinical informatics capabilities available through the supported applications within the MTFs clinical workflow. The Health Informatics Specialist will also support the development of informatics tool guides, process diagrams, demonstration agenda and additional informatics toolset documentation. Successful candidates will provide onsite and remote demonstrations, guides and documentation materials to the MTFs on the implementation of clinical healthcare applications. Additionally, they will collect functional requirements from MTF clinical informatics workflows as feedback to enhance the clinical informatics processes.
Additional Responsibilities include:
Provide demonstrations of Clinical Informatics principles and functional aspects of medical information data analytics using CarePoint, NICoE CMT / TBI Portal, WIIR, TBI Dashboards, CHCS, MHSPHP, MHS Dashboards and other tools within the clinical workflow of selected Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs)by workshops, small groups, virtual and teleconference, computer based, and one-on-one dialog.
Gather MTF-specific requirements and end-user feedback
Work with the CarePoint / TBI Portal developers and system analysts to coordinate software updates and changes for users and plan appropriate training
Assist in analyzing new functionality in subsequent application developmental releases
Update demonstrations guides, material and documentation as needed
Travel up to 30% of the time. Potential sites include Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Fort Bliss, Fort Carson, Fort Hood, Fort Bragg, Fort Belvoir, Fort Campbell, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Portsmouth, Camp Pendleton, Naval Medical Center San Diego, Twentynine Palms, Eglin Air Force Base, or Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
2 years on-the-job experience in medical and/or computer training
Fluent (written and verbal) with medical and TBI-related terminology
Experience in a healthcare clinical practice environment including experience with healthcare information systems
Candidates must be able to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) to access secure DoD facilities and DoD Information Systems.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Recent experience with software and technologies training, including complex concepts, principles, policies, methodologies, and industry standards and practices involved with training curriculum design
Experience in project management principles and training course management
Experience with technical analysis, documentation, and writing
Experience training and supporting clinical informatics users at various professional and technical levels
Experience serving as a technical specialist on issues of functionality, efficiency, and performance to senior staff and managers
Strong communication skills and proven ability to work with various interdisciplinary teams
Ability to deliver one-on-one or group trainings
Experience within DoD and Government agencies
