What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is seeking a Junior Engineering Technician for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWC CD) Facility Operations group to provide maintenance repairs and facilities equipment support. The ideal candidate is handy and willing to learn and grow as a technician.

This position is 100% on-site at the NSWC Carderock facility in West Bethesda, MD.

More About the Role:

  • Prepare facilities for upcoming tests and assist engineers as directed.

  • Assist technicians and engineers in repairs of facilities/equipment.

  • Apply mechanical knowledge to specialized industrial-level facilities and equipment.

  • Read and interpret diagrams, written procedures, and verbal directions

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • High Schooldiploma

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

  • Understand engineering units in both metric and English systems.

  • Able to read and interpret diagrams

  • Follow written procedures and verbal directions

  • Functional ability with Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Able to work and communicate well with others in a team setting.

  • Detail oriented with a flexible and collaborative approach to problem solving in line with policies and procedures.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Active Secret clearance

  • Experience in mechanical repairs or handyman jobs

  • 1+ years hands-on experience
